Understanding our Billing Process and Making Payments

Most insurance and government programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and TriCare cover medically necessary
ambulance transportation.

A patient’s insurance information should be provided to the paramedic or EMT at the time of service to
expedite claim processing. First Med will submit a claim to the insurance company as a courtesy to the patient.
Patients who do not have an insurance policy that covers medical transportation will receive an invoice that
includes an itemized list of charges for the services provided. Payment of the account is required within thirty
(30) days of receipt of the invoice.

First Med accepts personal checks, Visa, and MasterCard.
